Campus Visit Checklist
Ask questions until you get answers
Bring a journal to jot down your impressions
Check out the residence halls, libraries, student union, etc.
Discuss safety with students and faculty
Eat a meal
Find out about campus organizations and activities
Go to a class or two
Have a good time
Involve your parents
Jump on their school transit system to get a feel of how the transportation works
Keep your dress attire appropriate -- 1st impressions are important
Learn the names of people in the department that you are interested in
Meet a variety of students and faculty
Navigate the career center
Organize a schedule and map to follow
Plan at least one half-day at each school and stay overnight, if possible
Question the financial aid office about Scholarships
Review, reflect, and reply when you get home, can you see yourself there?
Set up an interview with an admissions officer
Take a campus tour
Visit a lab associated with your intended major (i.e., computer lab or chemistry lab, etc.)
Watch an extracurricular activity (i.e., sports/theater)
You must go while school is in session to get the "full view"
